Proposed architecture. The Mac mini and Thread border router have different roles. Each additional home has its own local agent, credentials and permissions.

One account is not one shared set of keys.
Your account manages membership and selected transferable preferences. Home 1 keeps its own device credentials, detailed household memory, permissions and approved routines. Each additional home has its own always-on Mac mini.
The active home stays explicit in every app or optional chatbot connection. An ambiguous request prompts clarification. Homeowner authority and revocable installer access travel through the same authorization and policy layer.

Mac mini agent
Hosts the Cauchy agent, policy, detailed household memory and approved routines. Optional local AI is part of the vision, not a preloaded launch claim.
Matter controller
Admits only validated native Matter lights, shades and bounded temperature adjustments. Bridges, vendor-only controls, cameras and vehicles are outside the initial offer.
Thread border router
A separate supported device connects the Thread network. Matter over Thread is preferred; Matter over Wi-Fi or Ethernet is allowed when appropriate.
Caséta and Serena equipment is not represented as native Matter or Thread. Device support must be validated; no certification or integration is implied by a standards reference.
04 / Optional connections
The same permission, whichever conversation.
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok are optional target connections through MCP or supported tools. Cauchy apps and validated chatbot clients use the same selected home, household memory and policy.
The cloud provider receives the conversation and task-relevant information or tool results needed for a request. Detailed household memory and device credentials are intended to remain in the home.
Subscriptions are separate; no partnership or universal compatibility is claimed. Ordinary consumers should not need to configure MCP. Basic approved local routines and physical controls should remain useful during cloud outages.
